Applications for scholarships for people from our church attending a college or university are available through the church office or our church website. Applications must be returned to the office, in order to be considered by the Scholarship Committee, by July 15.
Qualifications for scholarships from the North Canaan Congregational Church:
Applications are open to all persons who are affiliated with the North Canaan Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. Preference will be given to active church members and/or their children.
Scholarships will be awarded for attendance at a college or university either in an undergraduate program or a graduate program. Scholarships are not available for attendance at a private secondary school, summer camp or summer conferences.
Application forms will be available through the committee during the first week in June. They must be submitted by July 15 of that year and action will be taken by August.
The committee shall have full authority to award scholarships in whatever way it deems most appropriate.
All information requested from applicants will be confidential.
Application must be made each year. The granting of a scholarship in any one year does not insure any future scholarship without application.
