Our Mission is to Feed the Community We Live In

 Open Tuesdays 5-7 & Thursdays 12 -2

Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry operates out of The Pilgrim House as a mission of the North Canaan Congregational Church on Granite Avenue in Canaan.  Since early 2018 we have been open on Tuesday evenings from 5-7 in addition to Thursday afternoons from 12-2. We are happy to be able to serve more people, including residents of Falls Village and Norfolk in addition to Canaan. In need of nourishing food? Please come in during those hours-signing up is easy and we will help you register.

There is no doubt that Fishes and Loaves’ success is due to the tireless dedication of our volunteers.

Gladys Wilcox is the volunteer manager of Fishes and Loaves. She oversees operation of the pantry, regularly picks up food from Stop and Shop, and brings items no longer suitable for clients to a local pig farmer. She also takes excess bread and pastries to the Corner Food Pantry in Lakeville.
